Useful info

We whole-heartedly encourage you to come to Whitchurch Children’s Festival by foot or by bicycle. We have a cycle park within the festival area, located behind the main stage area.

However; if you are coming by car, please be aware there is limited car parking available.

Prepaid Parking Options

To make your visit hassle-free, we offer two prepaid parking options, which you can book when purchasing your festival tickets. At checkout, you’ll be asked to provide your car registration so we can check you in smoothly on the day.

🚗 Whitchurch Cricket Club – RG28 7AS

• Closest to the festival site (a short walk away)
• £4 per day
• You will be refused entry if you arrive at the Cricket Club carpark without having previously bought a car park ticket.

🚗 Testbourne School Car Park – RG28 7JF

• Around a 7-minute walk to the festival site
• £2 per day
• You will be refused entry if you arrive at the Testbourne School carpark without having previously bought a car park ticket.

 

Other Parking Options – Bell St Car Park

If you haven’t booked prepaid parking, we recommend heading to Bell Street Car Park (RG28 7DD), where some free spaces might be available.

We ask you to kindly please not inconvenience local residents by parking inconsiderately.

To minimise environmental impact and ease congestion, please car-share where possible or consider alternative transport options. Thank you for helping us keep the festival sustainable and enjoyable for the whole community!

Entry to the festival is through the gate into the watermeadow by the lane opposite All Hallows’ Church on Church St.

On arrival, please have your e-ticket to hand so that we can exchange your ticket for a wristband that allows access to the festival.

We have wristbands for both adults and children: once you have your wristbands you will be able to come and go from the site as you please.

There are a limited number of Blue Badge disabled spaces at the Cricket Club car park. Please bring a valid blue badge to display in your vehicle at the event.

The access lane to the watermeadow is accessible, however be mindful that as it is an outdoor event in a field it could pose problems for mobility (particularly in wet weather).

Picnic blankets, a pen/pencil so that your child can write in their Discovery Logbook

Sunscreen, waterproofs, wellies, sunhat, nappies, reusable water bottle.

There are food and drink concessions on site, but you can bring your own picnic, if you prefer.

Bins around site are also separated out into general waste and all recyclables; please make sure you use the correct bins.

Whitchurch Conservation Group has developed a sustainability policy for Whitchurch Children’s Festival. We are working hard to reduce our carbon footprint and reduce our environmental impact:

• Carbon balancing festival travel
• Local, sustainable food & drink
• Recycling waste properly in the correct bins across site.
• Avoiding single use plastics.
• Vendors will only be permitted to sell drinks in cans, not plastic bottles.
• Water Refills: Please bring your refillable bottles to refill at the tap provided.

Please hand in any lost property to the Information Area.

If you have lost something at the event, please email a detailed description of the lost item along with a contact telephone number, to lostproperty@whitchurchchildrensfestival.co.uk and we will let you know if it has been found.

However; please be aware that we accept no liability or responsibility for any loss or damage you incur during the course of the weekend.
