About Whitchurch Children’s Festival

Whitchurch Children’s Festival is a small, safe, and friendly award-winning arts festival for families with pre-school and primary-school-aged children and is held in the beautiful riverside setting of the Fulling Mill meadow in Whitchurch, North Hampshire.

Presented by Whitchurch Conservation Group and Winner of ‘Best Family Festival’ at the UK Festival Awards 2023, Whitchurch Children’s Festival is held every two years and is inspired by Whitchurch’s natural heritage – the River Test Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and the North Wessex Downs Protected National Landscape.

Funded by Arts Council England, tickets are heavily subsidised, continuing our commitment to improving access to exceptional, accessible arts experiences for children and their families.

Held every two years, the festival alternates with our Whitchurch Open Air Theatre event, ensuring that every year brings accessible cultural experiences to local families in rural north Hampshire.

From nature-inspired crafts to captivating live theatre performances, there’s something for everyone—including grown-ups!

Whitchurch Children’s Festival is proud to have Arts Council England ‘Artsmark’ status, working with high-quality arts providers to inspire young minds. Children attending the festival can earn an Arts Council ‘Discover in a Day’ certificate, celebrating their creativity and learning.
